The PPP Transaction
Advisory Department of the International Finance Corporation (“IFC”), a member
of the World Bank Group, is in discussions with the Government of Barbados
(“GoB”) through the Ministry of Energy and Business (“MoE”, or the “Client”) to support the Client on due
diligence, transaction structuring, and implementation of a competitive tender
process to attract a private sector lead sponsor to design, build, operate, and
maintain a 30-50 MW onshore wind farm (the “Project”).
In relation to the
Project, IFC is looking to retain an international law firm (the “Consultant”)
to provide legal support in relation to the Project and to undertake the scope
of work detailed below. The Consultant will select, subcontract and supervise a
Barbadian law firm (the “Subconsultant”) to support it in the performance of
its scope of work in relation to any local law issues. The Consultant will oversee the work-product
of the Subconsultant to ensure quality and will be responsible for managing the
timing and manner of input from the Subconsultant. References in this REOI to
the Consultant shall include the Subconsultant, unless the context otherwise
requires.
