To support evidence-based program design and enhance institutional coordination, the World Bank, in coordination with UN agencies, is assisting MOSAL in conducting a comprehensive mapping and assessment of the existing databases relevant for social protection as available by government agencies, international organizations and NGOs (to the extent that databases have significant coverage and separate systems). The analysis will provide a consolidated understanding of the structure of existing databases, the use of unique identifiers across different databases and locations, and how to improve both for social protection in Syria.
The World Bank Group is seeking qualified firms for conducting policy-relevant, time-sensitive analysis to enhance Syria's social protection system. The work involves rapid mapping and assessment of available social protection-related databases with a view of informing the design of possible new programs in the country.
