Through this Expression of Interest (EOI), the World Bank
ENV department in East Asia and the Pacific region intends to engage a
consulting firm to share knowledge and provide practical insights for
developing countries based on Korea’s experience to support
development/strengthening of the ecosystem for air pollution and greenhouse gas
(GHG) emission reduction for small- and medium-scale industries[1].
Eligible firms are invited to indicate their interest in
providing the requested services as outlined in the attached EOI Request for Consulting
services for details. As a minimum, such firms shall have at least 10 years of relevant
experience in conducting relevant assignments in the Republic of Korea and
shall consist of a team with extensive knowledge and professional experience in
the areas specified in the attached detailed EOI request.
Those interested must provide detailed information
indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (description of similar
assignments, evidence of familiarity with undertaking the relevant assignments.
in similar conditions, evidence and technical capability, etc.).
The EOIs should not
exceed 10 pages and include advice and or suggested approaches on how the
assignment will be undertaken, team composition and expected inputs from the
World Bank for execution of the assignment. The EOI should also include
possibility of in-kind contribution by the firm in terms of staff time, venue
for training, etc.
Short-listed firms will be invited to submit proposals
through a Request for Proposal (RFP) process.
[1] Small industries also include those that may be run from residences such as small bakeries and charcoal production. Focus will be on sectors/industries that use wood, coal and other dirty fuels, and where reducing PM2.5/PM10 emissions can provide co-benefit of reducing GHG emissions.
