Implementation of 1K1 Inclusive Jobs Peer Learning Platform

The 1001 Stars Project aims to create income-generating job and contracting opportunities for individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds (= ‘inclusive jobs”) in fragile and conflict-affected states (FCS) across the Middle East, Pakistan and Afghanistan (MEPA) region. The project seeks to enable access to enhanced workplace environments, new jobs, and digitally enabled income-generating contracts for target groups, including women, youth, persons with disabilities, and forcibly displaced people. This project is aligned with IFC’s Gender & Economic Inclusion Roadmap 2030 priorities and focuses on addressing barriers to inclusive employment in FCS through awareness-building, workplace enhancements, digital contracting opportunities, and facilitating inclusive investment.

As part of the 1001 Stars Project, IFC is launching the 1K1 Inclusive Jobs Peer Learning Platform (PLP). This is an IFC-facilitated   network that consists of 30 member companies dedicated to promoting inclusive jobs and fostering inclusive hiring practices within their organizations. By becoming members, companies gain access to regular expert-led learning events and workshops, where they can deepen their understanding of best practices in inclusive hiring and talent management practices. These events provide valuable opportunities for members to learn from both their peers and experts, while also fostering an environment of mutual support as they apply new tools and knowledge within their own companies. Each member company is paired with a mentor, who plays a crucial role in guiding them through the process of developing an actionable inclusive jobs plan. The mentors provide tailored assistance, ensuring that the companies are equipped to implement their action plan effectively. Through this collaborative approach, members not only receive expert advice but also advocate for inclusive job opportunities, working together to build more inclusive workplaces across their industries. The objective of this consultancy assignment is to establish and operate the 1K1 Inclusive Jobs Peer Learning Platform (PLP).
