ASSIGNMENT OVERVIEW
Assignment Title: FIG: AI & GenAI tools and solutions for focused FI sectors (India)- Analytic study & recommendations

ASSIGNMENT DESCRIPTION
The main objectives of the study are:
- AI/GenAI market assessment and scoping: Performing a detailed analysis of the Indian financial sector’s AI landscape, identifying priority applications and use cases, and flagging relevant risks, through a comprehensive market assessment, with a focus on (a)MSME finance (across key areas such as market readiness, regulator framework, data infrastructure, technology, skills, governance, and strategy) AND (b) responsible AI practices for FIs.
- Help evaluate current level of AI/GenAI adoption, identify challenges, and explore opportunities where FIs can derive immediate value as well as longer term opportunities. Relevant global examples and case-studies to be included.
- Provide recommendations/inputs on existing AI/GenAI solutions - to strengthen IFC's existing FIG advisory offerings and develop toolkit(s)
- Conduct
4 workshops on the study findings – 2 internally within IFC and 2
externally with IFC clients/partners.
ELIGIBILITY
Eligibility restrictions apply:
The successful firm or consortium will have the following skills and
experience:
- Minimum of 10 years’
experience in digital finance services and associated areas in India/globally
- Experience of work done in AI/GenAI, in particular wrt the FI
sector in the last 3-5 years would be preferred
- A strong understanding of responsible
finance and MSME finance would be preferred
§ Superior understanding of
the project details and the specific assignment pertaining to this ToR.
§ Experience in working with multilaterals,
financial industry stakeholders including working groups of public authorities
as well as private sector players.
§ Experience in working with
financial industry stakeholders including working groups of public authorities
as well as private sector players.
§ Knowledge of the country
context and environment (India) market is considered an asset; including broad
understanding and knowledge of tools/products related to the
financial services and AI ecosystem.
§ Work experience in above
domains in markets outside of India/SA will be good to have.
§ Proven program/task
management experience, with a track record of strong delivery and quality.
- Excellent written and
verbal communication skills in English are required
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
1. The World Bank Group invites eligible firms to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested firms must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc. for firms; CV and cover letter for individuals).
2. Please note that the total size of all attachments should be less than 5MB.
3. Firms may associate to enhance their qualifications unless otherwise stated in the solicitation documents. Where a group of firms associate to submit an EOI, they must indicate which is the lead firm. If shortlisted, the firm identified in the EOI as the lead firm will be invited to the request for proposal (RFP) phase.

NOTES
Following this invitation for EOI, a shortlist of qualified firms will be formally invited to submit proposals. Shortlisting and selection will be subject to the availability of funding.
Only those firms which have been shortlisted will be invited to participate in the RFP phase. No notification or debrief will be provided to firms which have not been shortlisted.
