The
Malawi Macadamia Association (MMA) has been established with a new structure in
2022 to represent the industry with a mission to enhance capacity to engage and
support members to innovate, enhance quality, productivity, and overall
competitiveness of the Malawian macadamia industry. The MMA currently has 23
members.
IFC,
with the support of MMA, is proposing to conduct an energy and water
benchmarking study for the Malawian macadamia industry to allow growers in
Malawi to be able to compare their operations, regardless of size and location,
against best-practice benchmarks (such as irrigation water efficiency,
dehusking efficiency and processing efficiency) and adopt resource efficiency
best practices to become more competitive and sustainable.
IFC
is looking to procure the services of the Consultant to execute the Project
with the scope of work, timeline and deliverables outlined below.
