The World Bank is looking for
a consultant firm, international organization or academic institution to
design, implement, and evaluate academically-accredited training courses for
young indigenous and Afro-descendant community leaders to effectively engage
and participate in social accountability of climate change policies, programs,
and financial flows in countries of the Latin America and Caribbean Region.
The selected firm will: (i)
design academically-accredited training courses, including content and teaching
methodologies; (ii) train annually between 25 to 40 young indigenous and
Afro-descendant persons, with at least 50% women and prioritizing a set
of countries to be identified in coordination with an Indigenous and
Afro-descendant Advisory Committee, over a three-year period; and (iii) send to
the World Bank annualized advance reports and a final report on the lessons
learned and results of the trainings and potential roadmaps to strengthen indigenous and afro-descendant participation in the formulation and monitoring of climate change
policy, programs and financing flows, based on this experience.
