The Government of Cote d’Ivoire (GoCI) through
the Ministry of Hydraulics, Sanitation and Hygiene (MoS) approached IFC to
support in attracting private sector participation to build, operate, maintain
and transfer an integrated Solid Waste Management (SWM) system in three
regions (the Project):
- in the vicinity of the Abidjan Autonomous District;
- in an
Intercommunality in the center composed of 9 municipalities; i.e. the “Center
Intercommunality” of the country and;
- in an Intercommunality in the north of the
country composed of 9 municipalities; i.e. the “North Intercommunality”.
In relation to the Project, IFC is looking to
retain an international law firm (the “Consultant”) to provide legal support in
relation to the Project and to undertake the scope of work detailed below. The
Consultant will select, subcontract and supervise a local law firm (the
“Subconsultant”) to support it in the performance of its scope of work in
relation to local law issues. The Consultant will oversee the
work-product of the Subconsultant to ensure quality and will be responsible for
managing the timing and manner of input from the Subconsultant.
References in
this REOI to the Consultant shall include the Subconsultant, unless the context
otherwise requires.
